Order and past which was so Endorst and Sent to the Upper
House by Mr Beale and Mr Humphreys
They return and say they Delivered it
A Bill for vesting part of a Lot in Annapolis in Robert
Gordon was read the first and second times by Especiall
Order and past which was so Endorst and sent to the Upper
House by Mr Warfield and Mr Humphreys
They return and Say they Delivered it.
Colo Young from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker the
following Message viz :

By the Upper House of Assembly.

October the 11th 1723.
Gent.
The Case of Samuell Cover being very particular and as we
are informed, haveing been fully heard Last Sessions before
you and rejected is one reason that makes us unwilling the
Law should have a Retrospect so farr at Least as relates to
him; but in relation to others if you Insist upon it we Con-
sent that the Bill do pass.
Signd p Order Sam Skippon Cl Up Ho.

In answer whereto the following Message is prepared Viz :

By the Lower House of Assembly
Octobr the 11th 1723.

May it Please Your Honours
In Answer to your Message by Colo Young in respect to
Samuell Cover this House is not willing particularly to Ex-
cept him for that if he has any right to be relieved he ought
not to be Excluded and the County Court will be the Judges
either to Acquit or Condemn him And therefore Desire that he
may be under the Like Circumstances with other people.
Signd p Order M. Jenifer Cl Lo. Ho.

Which was sent to the Upper House by Mr Bozman and
Mr Hawkins.
They Return and say they Delivered it.
Colo Young and Colo Tilghman from the Upper house

deliver Mr Speaker the following Message viz.
