Which Petition so endorsed was sent to the Lower House
by Esqr Bowles

An Engrossed Bill from the Lower House by Mr Bozman
and Mr Sherwood, intituled an Act for the Relief of George
Robins of Talbot County Gent Assented to by the Lower
House, and Subscribed thus (Viz.)

October the 4th 1723
Read and Assented to by the Lower House of Assembly and
Sign'd p Order M: Jenifer Cl Lo: Ho.

Which Bill was likewise Assented to by this House and
Subscribed thus viz'
October the 4th 1723
Read and Assented to by the Upper House of Assembly and
Signd p Order Samuel Skippon Cl Upp: Ho.

Then the Bill for Advancement of Justice was Read again
and Endors'd as follows viz :

By the Upper House of Assembly Octr the 4th 1723
The Bill will pass with the following Amendmts (Viz.)

p. 42

Ist That instead of these words x determinable in Chan-
cery the Justices may) the following words be inserted (viz)
of sufficient Value to remove the same into Chancery, the
Justices of the County Court where such Actions shall be
brought, may and shall (at the Prayer of either Plaintiff or
Defendant, either before or after a Judgment or Verdict
of a Jury at Common Law)
2 That a Clause be added to Ascertaine the Attorney's
fees in Equity in the County Court to one hundred Pounds
of Tobacco.
