ffryday Morning October the 12th 1722
The House meets According to Adjournment
Yesterdays Proceedings are Read.
Mr. Speaker Communicates to this House that his Honr the
Governour is pleas'd to return the following Answer to the
Address of this House of Yesterday Viz.

Gentlemen
I return you my Sincere and hearty thanks for your Af-
fectionate Address and shall Allways think my self most happy
when I Can Contribute to your well fare
Cha: Calvert.

The Petition of sundry Inhabitants of Somerset County
complaining of an undue Election in that County was read and
Referred to the Comittee of Elections and Previledges for
their report thereon.
The Petition of Tho. Sanders and Rebecca his Wife Exr of
Tho: Clements praying leave to bring in a Bill for the Sale
of Some Lands devised for the payment of the sd Clement his
Debts was read and Ordered that all Parties concerned have
notice thereof that if they think fit they may appear next
Sessions and make their Objections thereto.
Jno Hall Esqr from the Uppr House Delivers Mr Speaker
the Peticon of Tho: and Eliza Guibert of St Maries County
thus Endorst Viz :

By the Uppr House of Assembly. Octor the 12th 1722

This Petition being read is referred to the Consideration of
the Lowr House.
Signed p Order Samll Skippon Cl. up. ho.

On Reading whereof the same is referred for further Con-
sideration.

On Reading againe the Peticon of the Clergy as of Yester-
day, Leave is Given them to prepare and bring in a Bill Ac-
cording to their Prayer that the House may further Consider
thereof.
Mr Benja Mackall Appears in the House. Ordered that Mr
Walter Smith and Mr Wm Young go and see him Qualified
in the Uppr House.
They return and say they see him Qualifyed
Thereupon he took his place.
On the Motion made that a Bill be brought in to prevent the
