584 Assembly Proceedings, April $-22, 1720.

Charles absolute Lord and Proprietarie of the Provinces of
Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore and the
Right Honourable Francis Lord Guilford his Guardian To
John Hart Esqr our Lieutenant Govr and Keeper of the Great
Scale of the said Province of Maryland, and in his Absence
To our keeper of the Great Scale of the Province for the
time being:
Whereas Thomas Macnemara Esqr by an Order made in
the Court of Chancery the 10th day of October One thousand
Seven hundred and Seventeen Stands Suspended from his
Practice in the said Court untill he Should make his due
Submission, And Whereas upon his application to us against
the said Order we have declared that he ought to make a Reas-
onable Submission, before he Should be Restored to his prac-
tice there, and the said Thos Macnemara haveing lately made
a Sattis factory Submission to us the said Lord Propry, we
have thought fit that the said Suspention be taken off and do
hereby Order and direct that you the said John Hart our
Lieutenant Governour and keeper of the Great Scale of the
Province or in your absence the Keeper of the Great Scale of
the Province for the time being do forthwith discharge the
said Order and All Orders Explanatory thereof, and Restore
the said Thomas Macnemara to his practice in the said Court.
Given under our hands and Seals this 26th day of ffebruary

To John Hart Esqr Lievt Govr and Keeper of the Great
Scale of the Province of Maryland and in his Absence to the
Keeper of the Great Scale of the said Province for the time
being. These.

His Excellency's Speech in Council at the Delivering up
the Great Scales of this Province.

Gentlemen.
I must confess myself Surprized at the manner of proceed-
ing to Restore Mr Macnemara by a formall precept to his
practice before me, without makeing a due Submission to me
who was personally affronted in the Execution of that office
wherein I represented the Lord Proprietary
I say I am Surprized because I find this precept (or Order
or whatever Denomination it may go under, for it is a Nov-
elty) Contrary to their Lordships' Sundry Letters that Signi-
fied their Approbation (Even with Encomiums) of what I
had done in that matter, that Mr Macnemara ought not to be
Restored, till he made his due Submission to me, and now to
