Mr John Beale & Mr Charles Wright with the following
message Viz.

By the Lower House of Assembly

June 4th 1719
May It Please your Honrs
We have Considered your Message of this Day by Esqr
Hall with the Bill for the Limitation of Officers Fees And tho
this House are not Willing to Consent to the Reviving the Old
Act yet they are willing that Such of the members of your
House as you shall think fitt to Appoint may be Joyned with
some of the members of this House in a Conf errence for such a
Necessary Regulation of those Fees which if your House
Agrees to We Desire the Gent may be Appointed that may
Proceed thereon this morning.

Whereupon Col Tilghman & Coll Matt. Tilghman Ward are
Appointed on that Conferrence
And the following Message Prepared viz.

By the uper house of Assembly June 4th 1719
Gent.
We have appointed Col Richd Tilghman & Col Matthew
Tilghman Ward to Joyn with some Members of your house
in a Conference as you Propose by your Message by Mr Beale
& Mr Wright on the Act for Limitation of Officers Fees who
are Ready to Attend in the Conference Chamber

Delivered it
The Act for Relief of John Beale of Charles County &c
being Read The Question is put whether that bill shall Pass
or not
Resolved by majority of Votes that it Pass and Endorsed
Accordingly, and Sent to the Lower House by Col Young
who Returns & Says He Dd it
The Bill against buying and Selling of Offices &c is En-
dorsed
By the Upper House of Assembly
June 4th 1719
