Mr St. Liedger Codd £ Colo Walter Smith from the lower
house with the following Message Viz.

By the Lower House of Assembly

May the 25th 1719
May It Please your Honrs.
We find by your Message of the Eighth of August 1716
in Answer to our Message relating- to Col Lloyds Allowance
as a Councellour whilst He was President and also to our
Message of the 7th Aug. 1716, relateing to Mr Rousby's de-
mand on the Revenue of 3d p hhd for Armes &c. That your
house then Desired a Referrence of those matters to the next
Sessions to which our house then Consented And for these two
Sessions past has been Continued on our Journalls on the
Reference, But as yet nothing is done therein by your House
as we can p ceive, We therefore Desire your Honrs further
notice thereof

bill Explaining the Repealing Law Passed by that House
And being Read the first Time Ordered a second Reading to
morrow

The House Adjourns till to morrow morning

John Clements

Passed by the Lower House

Mr John Rider and Mr Roger Woolford two of the Com-
missioners of the peace for Dorchester County on behalf of
themselves And the Rest of the Inhabitants of that County
preferr to this honourable House their petition Desiring to be
heard against the Passing of the Bill for Relief of John
Clements

Whereupon Ordered they be heard Accordingly
