pound as arises on Tobacco Exported out of this Province to
the use & Benefitt of the Free school already founded here,

or otherwise that his Majesty would be Graciously pleased of
his bounty to Grant us some Equivalent Advantage for the
Encouragemt of the youth of this Province, where, we Dare
boldly Affirm that his Majesty hath as many Dutifull and
Loyall Subjects as in any other Part of his Royall Domin-
ions In proportion to the number of the Inhabitants thereof.
As to the severall other matters Contained in your Ex-
cellency's Speech, we shall Diligently Apply ourselves to the
dispatch of all business brought before us this Sessions for the
Good of our Country.

What now Remains upon us is to make a Dutiful Acknowl-
edgmt of your Excellency's most Assiduous Endeavours in
putting us upon such an Establishmt as gives a Pleasing
Prospect of Liberty and Property to this Province for ages to
Come

John's Parish in Baltemore Coty being Read is Endorsed as
follows.
By the Uper House of Assembly
May 18th 1719.
The within Petition having been Read and Considered in
this house, And my Lord's Agent Informed thereof who
Declares he has nothing to Offer Against it on account of the
Lands being Escheatable, It is Referred to the Consideracon

of the Lower House if they think it Reasonable to give leave

to bring in a Bill as prayed
