Esqr one of the Members of your House knowing something:
thereof We desire leave of your House for the said Mr Beale
to attend this House to inform us therein.

Whereupon the said Mr Beale has leave of this House to go
who Accordingly went
A Bill for removing Prince George's County Court House
to Marlbrough was Read the first Time and ordered a Second
reading in the Afternoon & was so endorst.

The house adjourns till one of the Clock in the afternoon.

Post Meridiem. The house meets according to adjournmt
The petition of Maurice Birchfield Esqr being read and he
being heard by his Councell thereto according to the prayer of
his peto,

Resolved that the Same be referred till next Sessions &
Ordered that the Clerk of this House write three severall
Copies of a Lre of Notice to Chilton's and Robinson's Heirs
to be sent to Mr Knight by him to be sent to them.
Afterwards on a mocon made for the withdrawing the same
is delivered to Thos Macnemara Esqr for the Behalf of the
said Birchfield.
Colo Young from the upper House delivers Mr Speaker the
following Message viz:

By the upper House of Assembly May 5th 1718.
Gent:
His Excy reminding us of the act made in June 1715 for
continuing the payment of the I2d p hhd from the Death of the
right honble Charles late Lord Baltemore to the 29th of Septem-
ber following. We think it very Convenient that you should
enquire into the disposicon of such mony as has been raised
on the Account of that duty of I2d p hhd that it may be dis-
covered whether any part & how much thereof may belong to
the Publick of this Province seeing that by the Terms of the
Act Afd it was concluded that if his Lpp would not accept of the
I2d p hhd Afd as a Consideracon for taking His Quit Rents at
2d pl in Tobacco that then all such mony so raised Should be
Applyed to the use of the publick of this Province.

to the Upper House by Collo Maxwell Capt Codd and Capt
Fendall.
