To the Sheriffe of Queen Ann's County for electing a
Member in the room of Maj John Hawkins deced.
To the Sherriff of Somersett County to elect a member in
the room of Mr Thomas Dashiel since made sheriff of that
County. Which Was accordingly issued.

L. H. J.

Resolved that this House will sit to do Business from eight
till eleven of the Clock in the forenoon and from one till five
in the Afternoon.
Whereupon the following Message was sent to the upper
House by Mr Tyler and Mr Lloyd viz.

By the lower House of Assembly
Apl 23d 1718

May it please yor Excy & Honours.
This House in order to Dispatch Business as much as in
them Lyes has made a Resolve to sit from eight of the Clock
till eleven in the forenoon & from one till five of the Clock
in the Afternoone during this Sessions and desire to know
whether the Time resolved on be agreeable to your Excy &
Honrs.

They return and say they delivered it.
Colo Samuell Young from the upper House delivers Mr
Speaker the following message viz:

Gent.
We having considered your message by Mr Tyler and M'
Lloyd and think the Times therein proposed very agreeable
for the Dispatch of Business with wch We Concurr.

Yesterday's Proceedings are read.
Colo Nath: Hynson Capt James ffrisby, Colo Ephraim Au-
gustine Herman, Mr Wm Whittington, Maj John Bradford
and Capt Thomas Dent Appear in the House.
Mr John Purnell is excused from his Attendce this Sessions
by reason of the Indisposicon of his Family.
