At a Council held in the City of Annapolis on Thursday 12th
of January in the 13th year of His Lordships Dominion Annoq
Domini 1764.

Present
His Excellency Horatio Sharpe Esqr Governor.

Honourable\Daniel Dulany J John Ridout Esqr

His Excellency is pleased to lay before this board the fol-
lowing Letter Received by Him from the Right Honourable
the Lords Commissioners of Trade and Plantations

Whitehall 10th October 1763
Sir,
We have received his Majesty's Commands to send you
the inclosed Printed Proclamations, and to desire you will
Cause the same to be forthwith made publick in the Several
parts of your Government, taking especial care that you do
exactly conform to the Orders and regulations therein con-
tained, in so far as depends upon yourself, and that you do
strictly enjoin all Persons whatever whom it may concern, to
pay a due Obedience thereto on their parts.

A Proclamation

Whereas His Majesty was graciously pleased, on the Sev-
enth day of October last, to Issue his Royal Proclamation, in
the following Words Vizt

Whereas We have taken into our Royal Consideration the
Extensive and valuable Acquisitions in America Secured to
Our Crown by the late Definitive Treaty of peace, concluded

at Paris the Tenth Day of February last and being desirous,
that all our loving Subjects, as well of Our Kingdoms as of
Our Colonies in America, may avail themselves, with all
Convenient Speed of the Great Benefits and Advantages
which must accrue therefrom to their Commerce, Manufac-
tures, and Navigation; We have thought fit, with the Advice
