446 Minutes of the Board of Revenue, 1768-1775.

Allen should be under any Difficulties in carrying the above
determination of the Board into Execution, Ordered, That on
his applying to the Clerk of this Board, he is to give him in-
formation how to proceed, in the Stating of the above men-
tioned Accounts.
The Board adjourn 'til Monday the 10th Day of April next,
when they will meet, in order to receive and examine Colo
Lloyd's & Mr Alien's Accounts.
Ordered, That the Clerk do furnish Mr Allen with a Copy
of the above Order.

The Board met according to adjournment, in order to re-
ceive and examine the Accounts of The Honble Edward Lloyd,
Esqr and the Revd Bennet Allen

Present. His Excellency Horo Sharpe Esqr

The Honble Daniel Dulany, Esqr
The Honble Walter Dulany, Esqr
The Honble George Steuart, Esqr

Mr Frederick Stone delivers to the Board, the Accounts of
The Honble Edward Lloyd, Esqr from the 29th day of Septem-
ber to the Time of his Resignation, when Mr Allen was com-
missionated to that Office, which were ordered to be left for
Examination.
The Clerk lays before the Board, a note, he received this
day, from Miss Allen, in answer to the Order of the Board,
to the Revd Mr Allen, at their last meeting, which is as
follows.

Mr Clapham.
Please to let the Board of Revenue know that when their
Letter came to my Hands, my Brother was confined with the
Gout, and that as soon as he is well enough to attend to Busi-
ness I shall give him their Letter.

Mond: April 10th 1769.

On mature consideration of the Steps taken by the Board,
to bring Mr Allen to a Settlement with Them, as His Lord-
ship's Agent, and of his conduct in consequence thereof, The
Board are of Opinion, that as His Lordship has thought
proper to intrust them with the Superintendency of his Rev-
enue in this Province, that to discharge that Trust, it is encum-
bent on Them to put Mr Alien's Bond in Suit, and accordingly
Order the Clerk to deliver his Bond to the Attorney General,
for that Purpose.
