His Excellency is pleased to acquaint this Board that His
Lordship the Right honble the Lord Proprietary had ap-
pointed Walter Dulany Esq^r a Member of the Council and the
Upper House of Assembly, and that he attends in Order to be
Qualified, who takes the several Oaths to the Government Sub-
scribes the Abjuration and Test and also takes the Oath of a
Councillor and thereupon takes his place at the Board accord-
ingly.
Ordered that the Clerk of this Board write the following
Letter to the several Councillors notifying therein his Excel-
lency's Intention of having a Meeting of the Council on the
9^th day of March next.
Annapolis 11^th Feb^ry 1767.
Sir
I am directed by the Governor and Council to acquaint you
that there will be a Meeting of the Council on Monday the 9^th
day of March next, to deliberate on Affairs of much Import-
ance, at which time they hope you will without fail give your
Attendance.

cester Dorchester S^t Marys and Prince Georges Counties.

At a Meeting of the Council held at the Governor's on
Thursday the 19^th day of February in the Sixteenth year of his
Lordship's Dominion Anno Domini 1767.

You will see by the inclosed Extract from the Lower House
Journal of the last Session our appointment for the purposes
therein mentioned. It being thought necessary to make a
thorough Inspection and Examination of all the Journals of
the Upper House in your Custody preceding the year 1704 and
also of all the Journals of the Lower House of Assembly which
are in your Custody preceding the year 1693 and between 1696
and 1704. to enable us to supply the Agent Charles Garth Esq^r
