Mr Goldsborough. The Boundary stones for the Lines of
wh I have wrote you in a former are in hand a 100, wh I
hope will be finished and sent in May aboard Capt Mont-
gomerie, these to make a begining, they are of Portland
Stone.

I have yrs the 28th of feby regarding yr request on Behalf
Mr Leeds Clerk of Talbot County, to resign in favour of his
son he has my consent upon Gain of Mr Danl Dulany's my
Deputy who pays me, he must settle with him my Deputy. I
much thank you yr remittance to me £125..10s

April 13th A Bill in parlt for Quartering Soldiers in
America tis said on Public & private Houses, the King much
recovered in health.

Sir

Here we have had a severe winter and a very Rainy
Spring attended with violent storms S. W. & by S. since
Jany wh has prevented three of my packets of Letrs to you,
wh I understand sail'd on Board the Ships at their Ren-
devouze at Plymouth the 14th of April by them my Letrs I
answd yr several as also yr filling up the vacancys
in the Council agreeable to yr desire and his Lordps Approba-
tion of yr appointment of Mr Charles Goldsborough to be
Comissy General &ca the only impost I have to send you by
Capt Love is, cong the American Bill by parliamt for Quarter-
ing of Soldiers, is not on private family houses, but then the
Bill I hear exemplyfyes smal Beer or Rum & water, Vinegar,
Salt & Pepper in like manner as in England & this to be
supplied by the American inhabitants in Genl Mr Franklyn
is silent as to all his Embassy of affairs, he employs his
time in delicate Living & obtaining Employ by the means
of Counselor Atkins Agent for American concerns, under
the Financer Mr Geo. Greenville. May all happiness attend
you Yrs sincerely

Post The King is recovered resides Cecils Calvert
at Richmond a Bill of Regency in
case of accident is agreed by
parliament.
