ment thereupon and that such Certificate be likewise Enrolled
upon Record in which Case and by such Acknowledgments
and Certificates feme Coverts shall be barred and not other-
wise and shall alsoe be barred of their dower by such Like
Acknowledgmts where they have only a right of Dower in the
Estate Conveyed altho' not named in the Deed thereof any-
thing herein Contained to the Contrary notwithstanding.
Provided always and be it further Enacted by the Authority
afd by and with the Advice and Consent afd that where any
Acknowledgment or Acknowledgments of any Deed or Deeds
Conveyance or Conveyances by them that had right to grant
bargaine and sell any Mannours Lands Tenements or heredi-

laments within this province have been made dureing the
Continuance of any the former recited Acts of Assembly
before one Justice of the Provinll Court or before one or two
of the Councill and Enrolled According to the direction of
the former Acts shall be good and Effectuall in the Law to all
Intents Constructions and purposes whatsoever anything in
this Act Contained to the Contrary thereof in any wise
notwithstanding.

An Act Declareing the Continuance of the payment of the
twelve pence per hogshead from the death of the Late right
Hon'ble Charles Lord Baltemore untill the twenty ninth day
of September next.

Whereas by Sundry Laws heretofore made there has been
a Duty of Twelve pence per hogshead laid on Tobo made
payable to the late right honrble Charles Lord Baltemore
dureing his Naturall life in Consideration of his taking Tobo
att the rate of two pence per pound in Lieu of his Quit rents
and fines for alienations — And whereas his Lordship is now
Deceased by which the Continuance of that Impost on the
former Laws Determines notwithstanding which there have
been diverse sumes Collected by his Late Lordships Officers
as by Vertue of that Law before notice of the Determination
thereof by his Late Lordships Decease and for that itt is

thought necessary by this present Genll Assembly as well to
declare and Ascertaine the Uses of the money that has been
soe received as to Continue the payment thereof this present
Shipping —
Be itt Enacted by the kings most Excellent Majesty by and
with the Advice and Consent of his Majesties Governt Coun-
cill and Assembly of this province and the Authority of the
same that the said duty of Twelve pence per hogshead for-
merly paid to the Lord proprietary on the Consideration afa
