for such Criminall as afd and such Sher to whome such
Criminall Servant shall be Delivered as afd is hereby required
to receive and Secure such Servants Criminalls as afd soe
that he be and appear att the then next County Court to be held
for the said County to be disposed of as the said Court shall
Consider.

An Act Causing Grand and petit Jurors and Witnesses to
come to the provinciall and County Courts and Ascertaining
their Allowances.

Be itt Enacted by the Kings most Excellent Majesty by
and with the Advice and Consent of his Majesties Governt
Councill and Assembly of this province and the Authority of
the same that after the publication hereof the Sev^ll and respec-
tive Sher. of the Sev^ll and respective Countys within this
province shall Cause to Come before the Justices of the
provinciall Court two men of the best and most Understand-
ing ffreeholders of Each respective County to Serve as Grand
Jurors and three such like good and Lawfull men of Each
respective County to Serve as petit Jurors att Every Provinciall
Court and the said Sher shall returne panells Accordingly
and Twenty days notice shall be given by the Sher to the
Jurors before the day of their Appearance and such Sher or
Shersas shall make Default shall be fined by the Justices of
the provinll Court one thousand pounds of Tob^o to his Majesty
his heirs and Successors for the Support of the Governmt of
this province.
And be itt further Enacted by the Authority afd by and with
the Advice and Const afd that the Sev^ll Shers of the Sev^ll and
respective Countys afd shall Cause to Come before the Jus-
tices of the Severall and respective County Courts a Competent
and Sufficient Number of good and Lawfull men of the best
and most Understanding ffreeholders of their severall and
respective Counties to Serve as Jurors of the Sev^ll and respec-
tive County Courts and the Sev^ll Shers shall returne panells
Accordingly and give notice to such ffreeholders ten days

before the day of their Appearance att the same County
Courts and such Sher or Shers as shall make default shall be
fined by the Justices of the County Courts five hundred pounds
of Tob^o to his Majesty his heirs and Successors for the Support
of the Government of this province.
And be itt further Enacted that Every person or persons
ffreeholders returned by the Sev^ll Shers to Serve as Jurors att
the provinciall Courts and having such notice of the day of
his or their Appearance as afd and shall not appear att the
