of Raphael Haywood late of St Marys County Planter de-
ceased pray that a private Act may pass this Session to perpet-
uate the Succession of the Testator's Estate in the Petitioners
being read at the Board and referred to the Consideration of
the House of Delegates by Samuel Young Esqr
The Petition of Straten Burten referred to the House of
Delegates for reasonable Allowance. And sent by Col Whit-
tington

Lt Col Tilghman Ward and five others brought from the
House Viz.

October the 29th 1713

In our message by Col Hoskins & others we did not tax
your Honours with any disregard had by that of any of our
Addresses but complain of some hardships we lye under for
want of having that Address presented and very readily ac-
quaint your Honours of our resolve of addressing her Majesty

relating to Sr Thomas Lawrence And upon reading your

message referred from last Session relating to an Agent Re-
solved on the employing one on all occasions, And tho your
Honours do not think fitt to join with us in the Address, Yet
we hope you will concur with us in appointing an Agent and
agree to the Conference desired for that purpose and doubt
not but we shall give your Honours such Demonstrations of
our Duty and obedience to her Majesty's Commands as will
be to your Satisfaction

Resolved that Col Addison and Col Tilghman carry the
following Message to the House of Delegates Viz.

By the Council in Assembly
29th October 1713

On Consideration of your Message by Lt Col Tilghman
Ward and Others of your House, We shall readily concur
with you in appointing an Agent in Gr. Britt: being truly
Sensible It will redound to the great Benefit of the Country
