We shall pay a due regard to her Majesty's order relating
to Sr Thomas Lawrence's Claim and shall examine the Journals
and proceedings of former Assemblys in reference thereto &

Lt Col Hoskins & five other Delegates bring from the
House Viz

By the House of Delegates
October 29th 1713

We have considered your Message by Col Addison and
are sorry to find so little regard had to the Addresses of this
House to her Majesty. We have resolved to address her
Majesty in relation to Sr Thos Lawrence and for the better
Security of having such Address presented have resolved on
the imploying an Agent & desire your Honours will not only
join with us in that Address but recommend to us some Person
you think capable of serving the Country therein and to that
End pray a Conference thereon with our members under noted
at such Time & place as your Honours shall appoint

In answer whereto the following Message was drawn up &
sent to the House by Col Holland Col Ennalls Col Green-
berry & Col Whittington

By the President and Council in Assembly
October the 29th 1713

In answer to your Message by Col Hoskins & five others
of your members We know not what reason you have to com-
plain to us of the little regard had to the addresses of your
house or what It is you tax us with as to your Resolve of
addressing her Majesty in relation to Sr Thos Lawrences
Complaint and imploying an Agent to take Care of the
Delivery thereof & desire we should join with you in such
Address & recommend to you a capable Person to Serve the
Country on this occasion.
