Committee of Aggrievances enter the House and deliver
Mr Speaker their Report as followeth

By the Committee of Aggrievances
Novr 6th 1712

It is humbly offered by this Committee as an Aggrievance
that the Country receives no Benefit by the Duties paid for
the Maintenance of the ffree School and they pray the House
to consider whether the present Governors and Visitors of the
ffree School apply the Money arising by Virtue of such Duties
according to the Act for that Purpose made and whether the
said Governors and Visitors have any Right thereto.
Resolved it is an Aggrievance and that the Country hath
never yet received any Benefit thereby and Ordered That the
Governors and Visitors of the ffree School do the next Session
of Assembly lay before this House an exact and true Account
of what Money hath been raised for the use of the ffree School
and how they have disposed of the same, and by what Author-
ity they take and receive the same, that this House may then
further consider thereof and that the said Governors and
Visitors then appear &ta

And it is further offered by this Committee as an Aggriev-
ance that the long and tedious Way prescribed by the Act for
Attachments and the great and extravagant Charges thereof
before an Attachment can be obtained against any Person that
leaves the Province or otherwise not to be found doth not
answer the Intent and Design of the said Act
Resolved the House concur with the Committee that it is
an Aggrievance and that they will the next Session of Assem-
bly consider of the Means to redress the same
And it is further offered by this Committee as an Aggriev-
ance that no Care is taken for the Payment of the Charge and
Expences of such Jurors, Evidences and other poor Persons
as are obliged to attend the Provincial Court, ready Money
being the only Thing that the Ordinary Keepers will accomo-
date them for, and that being not to be had, occasions them
to want such Accomodations as are necessary at their Attend-
ance on the said Court
Resolved the House will the next Session of Assembly con-
sider of the means to redress this Aggrievance.
And it is further offered by this Committee as an Aggriev-
ance that there is no Act of Assembly of this Province that
declares which of the Statutes of England are in fforce here
it being now left to the Discretion of the Justices of the
several Courts to admit or deny them whereby it comes to
