of building of Pews: And that the Pews so drawn for, for the
most part were by such of the Parishioners who live conveni-
ent to the Church & have Seats there
Your Petrs humbly conceive the Proceedings of the said
Vestry to be illegal, that the Intent of the Donors and the
Act of Assembly will be thereby defeated, and that your Pet"
and those living convenient to the sd Chappel will lose their
Seats and Benches, and for the future be debarred the Benefit
of divine Service
Your Petitrs therefore appeal from the Proceedings of the
said Vestry to your Excellency and Honours, and most hum-
bly pray that Notice may be given the said Vestry to appear
before Your Excellency and Honours, and a short day ap-
pointed them to answer the Premises and in the mean time
until your Excellency and Honours have made some Order
therein the said Vestry may desist from removing your Peti-
tioners Seats or Benches, or building or erecting Pews in the
said Chappel
And your Petitrs shall ever pray &c.
