John Dansey of St Marys County Esq^r represented to the
Board that upon the Death of George Muschamp Esq^r It
might be necessary some person should be appointed by the
Governm^t to take Care of her Majesty's Revenue Whereof
the said George Muschamp was Receiver in Potowmack
district
Ordered that the said John Dansey take Care thereof &
receive the same and give good Security to account for what
he shall receive there until her Majesty's Pleasure or my Lord
Treasurer's Directions are Signifyed therein
Col Robert Finley's Petition read as followeth

Maryland ss
To the Honble President & Council now Sitting
The Petition of Robert Finley humbly Sheweth That
whereas his late Excell John Seymour Esq^r Govern^r and
Council Sitting the 16th of August 1708 did then make an
Agreement with your Petitioner by Virtue of an order pro-
duced by his late Excell from the right honble the Lords Corn-
miss^rs of Trade and foreign Plantations to Inspect into the Arms

Ammunition and other warlike Stores of this Province of
Maryland, your Petit' should have the sum of eighty lb Sterl
for so doing and your Petitioner having according to his Com-
mission & Instructions given by his late Excell performed his
Duty therein humbly prays that your Honble Board will please
to give an order for the receiving of his said Eighty pds Sterl
due to your said Petit^r and your Petit^r as in Duty bound shall
ever pray

By the Council in Assembly 9^ber 8th 1709

It appearing to this Board that the Acc^t of Arms &c re-
turned by Col Robert Finley the Petitioner is not perfect
Therefore this Board do not think fit to order him more
than forty pds Sterl until he shall have made a perfect return
which John Rousby Esq^r her Matys Receiver of Patuxent
District is hereby directed to pay him
