Greenberry and Major Gale from the Committee of
Laws enter the House and deliver Mr Speaker Bill for appoint-
ing Court Days in each respective County which was twice
read and ordered to be indorsed

By the House of Delegates December 9th 1708

Read the first and second Times and by especial Order will
pass Signed p Order Richd Dallam Cl. Ho. Del.

Sent up to his Excellency and Council by Mr Mariartee.
He returns and saith he delivered the same
Bill ascertaining Damages on Protested Bills of Exchange
Read and committed for Amendment
Bill declaring several Acts formerly made to be in force
Read the first Time
Ordered That Mr Nathaniel Dare have Leave to go Home
upon extraordinary Occasion.
The House adjourned till to Morrow Morning ten O'Clock

Friday 10th December 1708

The House met according to Adjournment. Being called
over were present as Yesterday except Mr Dare who had
Leave to go Home.
Read what was done Yesterday.
Bill ascertaining Damages on Protested Bills of Exchange
Read with the Amendments and put to the Question from
what Time the Act shall commence? Carryed by Majority of
Votes at the End of this Session of Assembly. The said Bill
was read again with the Amendments and ordered to be in-
dorsed

By the House of Delegates December 10th 1708

Read the first and second Times with the Amendments and
by especial Order will pass
