but by God's Blessing to see the Country improve and flourish
& then the rest of our fellow Subjects every where (to your
lasting Glory and Reputation) would be justly convinced that
the People in Maryland truly serve God, and with a Loyal,
dutiful Regard honour our Lawful and rightful Sovereign the
Queen
After which Mr Speaker and the rest of the Members took
Leave of his Excellency and returned to the House and Mr
Speaker took the Chair.
The House adjourned till to Morrow Morning Eight O'Clock

The House met according to Adjournment
The Honble Kenelm Cheseldine, William Coursey, Thomas
Greenfield, and Philip Lynes Esqrs of her Majesty's Honble
Council together with Mr Evan Jones Clerk of that Board in
Assembly enter the House and by Virtue of a Dedimus Potes-
tatem to them directed administered the Oaths appointed by
Act of Parliament with the Oath of Abjuration to the Honble
Speaker and the several Members following Viz. Mr Joseph
Hill, Captain Richard Jones, Colo Charles Greenberry, Mr
Daniel Mariatee, William Bladen Esqr Wornell Hunt Esqr
Mr Richard Colegate, Mr James Philips, Mr William Pickett,
Mr Nathaniel Dare, Mr Robert Skinner, Capt John Mackall,
Colo Walter Smith, Mr John Ward, Mr Matthias Vanderhayden,
Colo James Smallwood, Mr William Stone, Mr John Beale,
Captain William Herbert, Mr Hugh Eccleston Mr Roger Wool-
ford, Mr Joseph Ennalls, Mr John Hudson, Mr William Frisby,
Mr Thos Covington Mr Daniel Pearce, Colo John Coode, Capt
Thomas Trueman Greenfield, Capt. Henry Peregrine Jowles,
Mr Joshua Guibert, Mr Robert Bradley, Mr Robert Tyler, Mr
John Bradford, Mr John Salter, Mr John Whittington, Mr Solo-
mon Wright, Mr Philemon Hemsley, Capt John West, Majr
George Gale, Mr Samuel Worthington, Captain John Frank-
lin, Colo Nicholas Lowe, Mr Thomas Robins, and Mr Robert
Ungle who having all taken the several Oaths and subscribed
the Test and Abjuration the Members of her Majesty's Hon-
ble Council and Clerk withdrew Mr Wornell Hunt and Mr
Mathias Vanderheyden sent to his Excellency and Council
to acquaint them that this House had made Choice of Mr
Richard Dallam for their Clerk and pray his Excellency's
Approbation and that he may be qualified accordingly.
They return and say they delivered the Message and that
his Excellency will send an Answer presently.
The Honble Kenelm Cheseldine Esq. from the Council en-
ters the House and acquaints Mr Speaker that his Excellency
