nervous; but fuller particulars of this somewhat mysterious affair will be
found in the Council Journal.

In 1706 Queen Anne's County was erected out of portions of Talbot
and Kent.

This Legislature distinguished itself by its zeal for the advancement
of trade. Apparently under an impression that by creating a town or
port they could create the commerce to make it thrive, they erected
more than forty, of nearly all which this act of 1706 remains the sole
biography and epitaph.
