The Board adjourns to Nine of the Clock to morrow morn.

Tuesday Sepr 26th 1704
Council Sate Present as Yesterday

Came Mr Hill & Major Aisquith from the house with the
following Bills.

A Bill for paymt of Criminal fees &c.

A Bill for punishing the offences of Adultery and Fornication

A Bill requiring the Masters of Ships and Vessels to pub-
lish the rates of their Freight before they take tobacco on
Board

A Bill for punishment of Blasphemy prophane Cursing and
swearing

A Bill of Directions for the Sherriff's office and more easy
payment of publick and County Levies.

Which Bills being read and Endorsed were sent to the
House by Mr Sanders

The following Message sent to the House by Mr Tench
Mr Smith Col Jenkins and Col Lloyd

By his Excy the Governour and Council in Assembly

Sepr 26th. 1704
Gentlemen

Your Message of the 15th Inst'touching an House to be
built for her Majesties Governour being this day read at the
Board his Excy was pleased to declare that he would never
Consent to appropriate that which was given for so publick
a Benefitt to the Province as Supplying them with Arms and
Ammunition of which they can never have too great a Store
to his own private Accommodation and Advantage Therefore
we desire some other Measures may be taken to answer her
Majesties royal Instructions either in Building such House or
assigning to his Excy the Governour a competent sum of mony
for thereof

Mr Coursey Mr Thos Frisby & Mr Tyler bring up the fol-
lowing bills viz.

A Bill for securing the Parochial Librarys &c.

A Bill for Encouragement of Tillage and Relief of poor
