By the House of Delegates April 19th 1706

Whereas it has been represented to this House that it is
an Aggrievance to this Province that the County Court Com-
missioners are limitted and restrained and with which this
House do concur and do therefore pray that his Excellency
and be pleased to enlarge the said Commissions &ta
Signed p Order W. Taylard Cl. Ho. Del.

They return and say they delivered their Message and the
Bill
Kenelm Chesildine and William Coursey Esqrs enters the
House & delivers Mr Speaker a Letter to Colo Blackiston
Agent for the Province which being read was by Order of the
House
Signed by Mr Speaker on Behalf of the whole House and
sent up again to the Council by Mr John Wells & Mr Tho
Howe. They return and say they delivered the same
Colo Edward Lloyd enters the House and delivers
Mr Speaker the Bill for apportioning the publick Levy
Indorsed April 19th 1706 Her Majesty's Honble Council
have read and assented hereto.

And the following Message was brought into the House Viz.

Lib. 41 .

By the Council in Assembly April 19th 1706.

Upon the Houses Representation by Mr Stone to his Excy
to enlarge the Jurisdiction of County Courts we have maturely
considered the same and do think the County Courts have
sufficient Jurisdiction. Therefore cannot advise his Excy to
make any Enlargement. Signed p Order

W Bladen Cl. Co.

And likewise was again brought into the House the Honble
Rector and Governors &ta Reply with Indorsment thereon.
Ordered to be entered Viz :

By the Honble the Rector, Governor and Visitors of the Free
School April 18th 1706.

In Reply to the House of Delegates Answer to our Proposal
yesterday about the Rent of the Council Room or purchasing
the whole House out and out we do hereby represent to the
Honble House that we cannot concur therewith in leasing the
Council Room on the Terms proposed; and altho' we do not
