An Act Impowering Maj^r Nicholas Low Executor of the last
will and testament of William Edmondson late of Dorches-
ter County dec'd to sell a certaine tract of Land lying in
Dorchester County called Richardsons Choice formerly
Purchased by the said William Edmondson of and from one
John Nicholls for payment of a debt due from the said Wil-
liam Edmondson to the said John Nicholls for the remaining
part of the Originall Purchase for the said Land.

Whereas the said William Edmondson in his life time Pur-
chased from the said John Nicholls the said tract of Land
called Richardsons Choice lying near the great Choptank
river in Dorchester County but the said William Edmondson
dying before payment of the Consideration of the said purchase
and not leaving Assetts Sufficient to Pay his debts the s^d John
Nicholls humbly prayed this Generall Assembly that the said
tract of Land might be sold to Satisfy him what remains due
of the s^d Consideration.
Be it therefore Enacted by The Queens most Excellent
Majesty by and with the Advice and consent of her Maj^ties
Governour Councill and Assembly of this Province and the
Authority of the same that the said Maj^r Nicholas Lowe Exec-

utor of the last will and testament of the said William
Edmondson deed shall be and is hereby Authorized and Em-
powered to sell Alienate and dispose of the said tract of Land
to the best purchaser or purchasers or him her or them that
will give most for the Same And good form and Authentick
conveyances or Assurances in the Law whatsoever to make
Scale and Execute to such Purchaser or Purchasers which said
Purchaser or Purchasers shall by virtue of such conveyances
or Assurances to be made as aforesaid and of this present Act
be Enabled quietly and Peacably to hold & Enjoy a firm Sure
absolute and indefeazable Estate of inheritance in fee Simple
to them and their heires for ever of in and to the said tract of
Land against all Persons whatsoever.
And be it further enacted by the Authority advice and con-
sent aforesaid that the said Nicholas Low shall out of the
Consideration for which the said Land is to be sold Satisfy
and Pay unto the said John Nicholls his Executors Adminis-
trators or Assigns the said debt now due to him from the said
