And be it further Enacted by the Authority aforesaid by and
with the Advice and Consent aforesaid that the severall Navall
Officers their Sufficient Deputy or Deputy belonging to the
respective Districts next Adjoyning to the Towns and Ports
of Annapolis and William Stadt shall Constantly reside at the
said Ports for giving Dispatch to all Shipps or Vessells trading
or Coming into them ports.
And it is hereby further enacted and Declared by the
Authority Advice and Consent aforesaid that the severall &
Navall Officers of this Province within their Severall and
respective Districts for the severall Acts and things relating to
their Office by him or them hereby enjoyn'd to be done shall
have and receive the ffees hereafter mencofid and no more
(that is to say for entring any Shipp or Vessell coming and trad-
ing into this Province being under the burthen of one hundred
tonns the Masters thereof shall pay unto that respective Navall
Officer with whom he shall enter such Ship or Vessell as a ffee
for entring thereof the Sume of five Shill. and no more and
five Shift more for the Clearing thereof and if such ship or
Vessell shall be above the burthen of one hundred tonns the
Master for Entry thereof shall pay to the said Navall Officer
as a ffee tenn Shillings and tenn Shillings for the Clearing
thereof And the said Navall Officers are hereby obliged to
enter all Shipps or Vessells of what burthen soever of the
built of this Province all whose Owners do actually inhabit!
and Reside within this Province and are purchasd held and
enjoy'd by such Owners for the Sum of two Shift six pence
Sterl which is hereby allowed and ascertained him as a ffee

therefore and for the sume of two shift and six pence shall
Clear the same
And be it further Enacted by the Authority aforesaid that
all small boats belonging to this Province and being under
Eighteen ffoot by the Keele shall pass and repass without any
Lett Hindrance Molestation Seizure of the same unless they
shall Carry and have on board them prohibitted Goods or
goods lyable to pay Custom to her Maty not Cocquetted or
Clearing for the same without being obliged to take out per-
mitts for such passing or repassing as aforesaid and that the
Masters of all shallops or open boats trading within this Prov-
ince do pay to the severall Navall Officers or their Deputy or
Ueputys appointed for the granting of permitts the Sume of
two Shillings six pence yearly and no more for the Granting
such permitts as aforesaid and shall give good security to be
taken by such Officers aforesaid or their Deputy or Deputys
in her Matys Name that he and they shall and will duly observe
the Acts of trade and Navigation and other Good laws of this
Province relating thereto.
