Provided allways that no such Comission shall be put in Use
or executed before such ffactor of such Comissioners of Bank
rupts put in good Security to Satisfy the Debts contracted ir
this Province by such Bankrupt Merchant his ffactor or ffactor
under the Credittofsuch Cargoeor Cargoes of goods importec
which are hereby suppos'd to be all such Debts as shall be
contracted by such Bankrupt Merchant his Factor or ffactor:
after Importation of such Cargo or Cargoes

An Act imposing Nine pence per Gallon on Rumm Spiritts
Wine and Brandy imported by Land from Pensilvania into
this Province.

Be it enacted by the Queens most excellent Majesty by and
with the Advice and Consent of her Majestys Governour
Councill and Assembly of this Province and the Authority of
the same that from and after the end of this present Sessions
of Assembly the Importer or Importers of Rume Spiritts Wine
and Brandy from Pensilvania and the Territorys thereto
belonging by Land shall for every gallon of the said Liquor
imported into this province by Land pay unto the Queens
Majesty her heires and successors for defraying the Publiq
Charges of this Province to be Collected by the Navall Officer
of Cecill County District for the time being or his Sufficient
Deputy the Sume of Nine pence Sterl Currant Mony of this
Province in ready mony And shall bring the same into this
Province to the place comonly called Bohemia Landing and to
no other under Penalty of Forfeiting to the Queens Majesty
her heires and Successors all such before mentioned Liquors
which shall be brought to any other place or the value thereof
in ready money One Moyety of the sd Forfeiture to the Queens
Majesty her heires and Successors for the Support of the
Government of this Province the other Moyety to the Informer
to be recovered in any Court of Record in this Province by
Accon of Debt bill plaint or Information wherein noe Essoyn
protection or wager of Law to be allowed.
