Councill and Assembly of this Province and the Authority of
the Same that every Person or Persons Inhabitants of this
Province who after the end of this Sessions of Assembly shall
be indebted to any Person or Persons whatsoever inhabitants
of this Province in any Sume or Sums of mony or Quantitys
of Tobacco by Bond bill Book Debt or Account or that shall
have any Judgment or Judgments given and entred against
them in any Court of Record within this Province It shall and
may be lawfull for such Debtor or Debtors respectively to pay
and discharge themselves from such Debts and Judgments
when they have not the Specie for which the said Judgments
are given by the severall things following being of the Growth
and production of this Province (that is to say) Beef in well
Seasoned Casq tared and the Tare on the head sett Merchant-
able and well Saved at three half pence per pound Pork in
well seasoned barrells or other Casq Tared and the tare on
the head sett Merchantable and well saved at two pence per
pound. Bacon at three pence half penny per pound Dryed
beef at three pence per pound Wheat at three shillings six
pence per Bushell Oats at two shill per bushell Barley at two
shill per Bushell Indian Corn at one shilling Eight pence per
Bushell pease at three Shillings six pence per Bushell Beans
at three shillings six pence per Bushell and the prizes of the
aforesaid Comodity shall be rated in tobo at the rate of one
Penny -p Pound as they are before rated and the Creditor and
Creditors of such Debtor & Debtors are by this act Enjoyned
and required to accept and take such Comodities or any of
them of their Debtor or Debtors in full discharge of the said
Debts and Judgments if tendred and paid at any one Conve-
nient place in the County.
And be it further Enacted by the Authority Advice and
Consent aforesaid that in Case any Creditor or Creditors who

shall have Judgment or Judgments against any Debtor or
Debtors and shall refuse to accept and take from his or their
Debtor or Debtors such Comodity being of the growth of this
Province as aforesaid in Satisfaction of the Judgment or Judg-
ments aforesaid But shall sue out Execution against the Debtor
or Debtors upon the Judgment or Judgments aforesaid and
imprison the Debtor thereon then it shall and may be lawfull
to and for the Sheriff in whose Custody the Debtor is And
such Sheriff is by this Act requir'd to receive and take of such
Debtor his prisoner the severall Comoditys aforesaid or so
many of them being of the Growth of this Province as the said
Debtor his prisoner shall offer to him to the full value of the
Debt and Costs and shall forthwith sett at large and discharge
the said Debtor from his imprisonment. And such Creditor
or Creditors shall have noe other Action against such Sheriff
