The house mett Againe And being Calld over were present
As Yesterday. & Majr Wm Barton Sick Yesterday enters the
house.

Read What was done Yesterday.

The reporte of the Conference relating to New York Affaires
with the Endorsment Was sent up by Mr Iohn Taylor to the
Comittee of laws who is desired to prepare An Address to her
Majty upon the matters proposed.

The following bills from the Comittee of laws brought into
the house & orderd to be read.

Bill prohibiting liquors to be carryd to Indian townes

Bill for securing Merchts and other tobo After receivd.

Bill for recording All laws.

Bill Imposing A duty on rum negroes and Irish Servts

Read the first & 2d time and by Especiall order do pass.

Sent up to the Councill p Mr Iohn Wells.

He returnes and says he deliverd the bills.

The honob Thoms Tench Ino Addison Robt Smith Kenelm
Cheseldyne And Wm Coursey Esqrs enters the house and de-
livers Mr Speaker the following Message.

By the Councill in Assembly Septr 22d 1704

In Answer to the houses Message by Coll Maxwell and
others this board doe Agree to the first Article that 120l is the
true and propper fee setled by law on the Great Seale for
passing any bill As Coming under the Genll Clause in the
law.

Orderd it be entred on the lournall of the house.

The house Adjourns till 2 A Clock in the afternoon

The house met Againe and were p'sent as in the morning.

Brought into the house the following Engrost bills Vizt
Orderd they be read.

Engrost bill restrayning the Extortions of Sherriffs &ca

Engrost bill Confirming purchases made by Com" of the
respective Countys.
