     home my Lord is very much of Licely's side, wch makes great B. M.

       Capt. Kidd is come into this Bay, he hath been here about

     ten days, he sends his boat ashore to the Hore Kills in this

     Government, where he is supplyed wth what he wants, and the

     people frequently go on board him, he is in a sloop with about

     40 men, with a vast treasure. I hope the Express wch I sent

     to his Excellency, Govr Nicholson will be time enough to send

     about the man of Warr to come up with Kidd.

       [Philadelphia, July 6, 1699.]

    

    

       There are a parcell of Old Pirates that are settled at a place

     in this Government called the Hore Kills just by the Capes,

     so that when any Pirates come near this Bay, they send their

     Boats ashore to this place where they have intelligence and

     are supplyed by these Men. Whilst Capt. Kidd was in this

     Bay he sent his Boat ashore every day, and was supplyed, and

     these men went constantly on board him and brought ashore

     with them great Quantities of East India goods. The whole

     intreague of this roguery hath all lately discovered.
