440 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1724/5.

X. date of the said deed by which it is evident to this Board that the said deed is forged and designed to disturb several peo- ple in their possessions and right It is therefore Ordered by this Board that the Attorney General prosecute the said Riddlesden abs Cornwallis and direct the necessary process to be sent to the respective Countys where he may Probably be met with and the said Knight be Summoned to testify against the said Riddlesden and be Commanded to bring the said deeds &c On Application made to the Board by John Young Armourer that his Sallary due the 11th of January last for Cleaning the Arms Attending the Council and other publick Services may be paid him It is Ordered by this Board that Colo Samuel Young Treas urer of the Western Shoar be directed to pay the said John Young the same and the following Order was made out thereupon

You are hereby required to pay to John Young or Order the Sum of Forty Pounds Sterling being his Yearly Sallary for Cleaning the Arms &c Ending the 11th day of January last p. 126 To the honble Colo Sign'd p Order Samuel Young Treas- Geo Plater Cl Concil urer of the Western Shore

His Excellency the Governor acquaints this Board that he has no Business of Moment to lay before the Assembly which stands Prorogued to the fourth tuesday in March next there fore desires the Opinion of this Board whether it would not be proper further to Prorogue the same and what time may be most Convenient
