                   Know all men by these prsents that I Samll Chew of Annll

                  County Mercht am holden and firmly bound unto his Excy

                  ffrancis Nicholson Esqr principall & Sole trustee for Carrying

                  on the building of the Church of Annapolis by Authority of

                  Assembly in the full Sume of five hundred thirty five pounds

                  ten shillings good and Lawful money of England to be paid

                  to the sd ffrancis Nicholson his heires or Assignes to the which

                  paymt well and truly to be made I bind my Selfe my heires

                  Exrs & Admrs firmly by these prsents Sealed with my Seale

                  and Dated this 21 day of yber Ano Dni 1698: The Condition

                  of this Obligation is Such that if the above bound Samll Chew

                  his heires Exrs or Assignes do well and truly Satisfy and pay

                  to the sd ffra: Nicholson his heires Exrs or Assignes for the use

                  and towards the building the Church aforesd the full Sume of

           p. 240 two hundred Sixty two pounds fifteen Shillings in Lyon Dol

                  lars att four shills & Six pence p Doller to be paid att two

                  Equall payments and at such times as by the said ffr: Nichol

                  son Esqr his heires Exrs or Assignes shall be required or

                  Demanded and that without fraud Covin or further delay

                  then this Obligation to be Voyd or else to remaine in full

                  force and Virtue.
