    allowed to Trade from their sd Settlements to this Province Lib. W. B.

    And tht such his Matys good Pleasure may be notified to all

    his Subjects here I do Command the Sevrll Sherriffs of the

    Respective Countys to Publish this my Proclamation in the

    most usual & frequented places. Given at the City of Anna

    polis this 13th day of April in the first Year of the Reigne of

    our sd Lord the King &c Annoq Dni 1715.

                    God Save the King

   

      It being Considered tht it is very necessary tht when any

    reference is made in Chancery to any of the Masters or Assist

    ants in that Court tht a reasonable Fee shou'd be payd them

    for their Report.

      Resolved tht the sd Fee be and is hereby Settled & allowed

    to be taken if in Tobacco One hundred & fifty pounds & if in

    Currt mony twelve Shillings & Six pence.

      And whereas several Gentlemen of this Board have accord

    ing to Custom assisted the Keeper of the Great Seale in holding p. 39

    the Chancery for wch they were formerly wont be allowed in

    the Publique. But for that no such Allowance has been made

    for near two Years last Past. Advised & Resolved tht it

    being in Promotion of Justice the reasonableness thereof be

    represented to the next Session of Assembly.

      The Petition of John Norris of Ann Arundel County setting

    forth tht he is fined five hundred pounds of Tobacco for not

    attending as a Juror At a Court held in November last for the

    sd County During the sitting of wch sd Court the Petitionrs

    wife lay very sick & dyed that he did not neglect his Duty

    out of any Contempt but was purely induced by his Affection

    to & Care of his Wife. The truth of the sd Petition being

    Certifyed by two of the Commissioners of the afsd County

    Court is thought reasonable & Granted.

      Whereupon ordered tht the Fine be remitted & not

    levyed.
