acknowledge Wee have and do receive obligatory kindness, P. R. O. perticulerly in its protecting of us in the peaceable Enjoyment of our conscientious Liberty, in relation to the Worshipp of Ailmighty God and also in the full and free Enjoyment of the Laws and Libertys of English Subjects. And Wee do hum bly take Liberty to Declare that that person (Clark) named in the Said Written paper, and now an outlaw in Rebellion against the Government, Wee believe is a wicked and ungodly man and all his actions which have been and are continued to be Vil lainous abusive and Rebellious against the peaceable Govern ment of this province. And all his Confederates, ayders, assisters, and Abetters therein Wee do in our hearts denye, disowne, detest, and abominate And it is altogether repug nant to thought, intent,and purpose of our hearts, to concerne ourselves either upon his or his Wifes account anyway, but truly and heartily desire that he and all his confederates in wickedness and Rebellion may be brought to Justice, And this Wee have [set] forth in true Sencerity for the clearing of the Truth of God which Wee profess from Scandalls, and all Scandalous and rebellious persons and practices. His Exncy John Seymour Esqr her Matys Capt Genll & Gov ernor in Chiefe of this Her Matys Province being present in Councills Mr Richard Iohns and Mr Saml Chew on behalfe of the People of this Province called Quakers presented to his Exncy the within address, which his Exncy received very kindly and together with the Board was pleased to declare that they had observ'd the Said Society of people call'd Quakers to be very peaceable and quiett, and well affected to this her Matys Gov- ernmt especially Since her Matys happy Accession to the Throne And that particularly on this Occasion they had exprest themselves to the greate Satisfaction of his Exncy and this Boarde, Who therefore assured them of her Matys gra- cious protection during Such their peaceable and dutifull Behaviour W Bladen Cl Concil
