Secondly Whether they thinke Mr Smithsons proceedings Lib. C. B. in the Bayling him on the Stat: 310 Car. 2die to be Legall & Regular, To which the Boarde do say they are of Opinion that he as acted therein willfully irregulary and illegally. But seeing he has Offered to Iustifie his proceedings in Writing Resolved that he be directed so to do with the first convenient Speed giving him Notice the Councill will Sitt on Tuesday the 23d day of March next. and Whether it be not fitt to use some means to oblige the said Macnemara to Comply to his Excys Decretall Ordr To which the Boarde do Unanimously say that It is highly reasonable proper process issue to oblige him thereto.

Present His Excellcy the Governour Major Generall Edward Lloyd Col Wm Holland Mr Ches eldyne and Colo William Coursey.
Mr Justice Lloyd desired to Assist at the Boarde Mr Richard Hunters Petition to practice as an Attry in the County Courts read and granted upon his Excys Jnquiry of Colonel Coursey and Mr Secretary Lloyd, who were pleased to say they knew nothing of his Misbehaviour in his Practice but believed him to be a Diligent man in his Business.
M' John Duvalls Letter to Wm Bladen read as followeth Vizt
March the 15th 1707/8 Mr Bladen Sr I was on Wednesday last at Mr John Freemans where I hear some very wicked Expressions come out of the mouth of Wm Chew of Baltemore County who asked me what they Intended to doe with Richard Clark whether they Intended to Hang him or no and before I could give him my Answer Swore by God that if he was hanged they had best do it in private I then replyed to him if he was not hanged he would not have Iustice done him William Chew said nay I believe he has been a Notoryous Rogue, but he said he could tell me of somthing Else I asked what it was he said no hang it I dont Care to Speak of it But I will tell You then he replys people says that Joseph Hill will be brought in trouble but p. 114 by God them have a Care for the Country will never
