Lib. C. B. Att a Council held at the Towne & port of Annapolis Aprill 5th 1707. Present His Excy in Councill. Came the Reverend Mr Robert Keith and Mr Alexander Adams with Mr Mccemie a Dessenting Minister And the said Mr Mecemie on behalf of himself and others of his Comunion complains of their Liberty being infringed by a Certain order of Councill prohibitting their building a meeting house within less then half a Mile of any Established Church already built Whereupon both partys being heard before his Excellency the Governr in Councill and it appearing that the Meeting house of Rehoboth in Somersett County is aliready Erected on Mr Mccemies owne proper Lands. It is advised that this Matter be laid before the Rt honble & Rt Reverend the Lord Bishop of London for his Decision and Advice and that in the mean time Mr Mecemie be at libertye to preach in his house according to the Tolleration.
