Att a Sessions of Assembly begun and held att the Towne
& Port of Annapolis in Annarrundell county the 26th day of
Apll in the third yeare of the Reigne of our Lady Anne by
the Grace of God of England, Scotland, France and Ireland
Queen Defender of the Faith &ca Annoq Domini 1704
Whereas the generall Assembly of this Province upon the
Twelfth day of Aprill instant was by his Excellency John
Seymour Esquire Captaine genl and Governour in chief of
this Province prorogued until the Twenty fifth of the same
moneth, att which day he willed and required, that they
should convene themselves att the Towne and Port afd, then
and there to doe, and consent to such things as by the favour
of God should happen to be ordained and Enacted for the
good and welfare of this Province; But before the said generall
Assembly did convene themselves, her Majesty sent her writt
of Prorogation unto them directed which is as followeth vizt
Anne by the Grace of God of England, Scotland, France
and Ireland Queen Defender of the faith &c. To our Coun-
sellers, the Delegates, and representatiues of the Severall
County's of our Province of Maryland Greeting.
Whereas upon the Twelfth day of Aprill instant wee
thought fitt to prorogue you, untill the Twenty fifth of the
same moneth, att which tyme wee commanded the Severall
Sheriffs of the Severall Countyes of our said Province to giue
notice to all and every of you, tht you should convene your-
selues together att the Port of Annapolis upon the said Day
last mentioned, then and there to doe and consent to such
things as should by the favour of God happen to be done and
Enacted, for the good and wellfare of this Province, Now
Know yee that for severall weighty reasons, us thereunto
moveing, wee have thought fitt, and doe by these prsents fur-
ther Prorogue you untill the twenty sixth day of Aprill afore-
said, att which tyme, and att the place afd wee will and require
you, that you convene your selues to the end aforesaid, Witt-
ness our Selfe in our high Court of Chancery att our Port of
Annapolis the 25th day of Aprill in the third yeare of our
Reigne &c, annoque Domini 1704
