And Resolved by the house that the Comittee of Laws
prepare A Bill for that purpose.
And as to the proposall relateing to Collo Talbotts Lands
to be sold for refunding the Great charge of this province
heretofore expended on his behalfe for Imprisonmt fees &c:
which was read.
Resolved and Ordered that the Comr of Laws as well
enquire into the publick and Discover the charge as alsoe
inspect into the Records for the said Talbotts Land wthin this
province and what titles he has to the same — of all which
they are to make reporte to this house by all convenient
Speed.
A Message from his Excy and Councill of the 15th of May
1701 referred to ths Sessions, It being for appointing an
Agent et: was now read and debated, And for as much as
the house conceive they have noe occasion of such agent,
Therefore, Resolved there be further Conferrence thereupon
for tht this house conceive they have no occasion of any at
prsent.
The Peticon of Jno Needles of Talbott County and his wife
and others the children of Mr Edward Mann relateing to a
paper testament or Will of the sd Mann, was here read, and
Resolved that the Consideracon thereof be referred to a
Comittee for tht purpose. And Ordered that Majr Wm Dent,
Mr John Salter and Majr Edward Dorsey be a Comittee ap-
pointed to Consult the same and make their Speedy report
thereof to this house.
The house adjournes till 2 a Clock in the Afternoone.
Post Merediem. The house mett againe according to ad-
journment and were present as in the morning.
And Mr Samll Young and Mr John Dorsey two members
absent in the morning enters the house and tooke their places.
The Petic5n of Thomas Love of St Maries County read
and rejected.
Then were appointed of the Comittee of Laws Kenelm
Cheseldyn Esqr Mr Wm Hutchison Mr Richard Tilghman Mr
Wm Dent Mr Jno Salter, Mr Edward Dorsey and Mr Henry
Lowe who are ordered to withdrawe to consult of Severall
Matters before delivered them.
Proposed by a member of this house whether it be not
reasonable that a Law be provided for paymt of Rents of Or-
phans Lands in the time of their minority.
Resolved the same be referred to a further consideration.
The Comittee of Laws enter the house and reports as
follows.
