Post Meridiem

The Council Sate Present as in the morning
Came Mr Muschamp & Lieutt Col Smallwood with the Bill
for Establishment of religious worship within this Province
Read the 3d time readily passed and sent to the House by Col
Addison & Mr Brooke
Came Mr Matthias Vanderheyden and Lieutt Col William
Whittington with these engrossed bills viz
A Bill for Establishment of Religions worship &c. assented
to by the House which was also assented to by this Board
A Bill for prohibiting Horse racing on Saturdays

A Bill for relief of Kent & Calvert Countys
A Bill prohibiting Abuses committed by Wood Rangers
A Bill for Naturalization of Hermanus Schec Isaac Van-
bebber and others
A Bill for confirming a certain writing to be the last Will &
Testament of Edwd Mann late of Talbott County deceased
which said Bills were all assented to by his Majesty's Council
and sent to the House by Col Lloyd and Lieutt Col Hammond
The Board adjourned till eight of the Clock to morrow
morning

Tuesday March 24th 1701/2

The Council in assembly Sate Present as yesterday
Came Mr Young & Mr Vanderheyden and present Major
Charles Greenbery & Capt Lawrence Draper who are Mem-
bers duly Elected to Serve for Ann Arundel County in the
room & instead of Mr James Saunders & Lieutt Col William
Holland who took the oaths appointed by Act of Parliament
instead of the oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy and Sub-
scribed the test and association
Came George Muschamp Esqr and 11 other Members of
the House with the following Message viz

By the House of Delegates March 24th 1701/2

May it Please your Excellency
We do acknowledge your Excellencys wise & just Conduct
and Government and the Care you have taken to lessen the
charge and Expences of the Province which were sensibly af-

fected with and as a grateful recognition thereof we desire
your Excellency to accept of four hundred pounds Sterl to be
paid out of the first mony that can be raised after these bur-
thens that are upon us
