she or they so offending as aforesd shall not have Goods & Lib. X. chattels Lands & tenements to the Value aforesaid every such Offender or Offenders shall Suffer Imprisonment for one whole year without Bail or mainprize as aforesaid & for every third Offence whereof every such offender or Offenders shall be legally Convict as aforesaid he she or they so offending shall suffer Death with Confiscation of all his her or their Goods & chattels to their Majestys their heirs & Successors Sr Edmond Andros Knt his Majestys Lieut & Governor General of Virginia to all Sheriffs & others whom these shall or may concern in this his Majestys Colony & Dominion sends Greeting Whereas the Governor & Council of Maryland hath ac quainted me of the process & proceedings for Blasphemy against Collo John Cood late of St Marys County in that Pro vince sent me by Mr William Ockman Lieut of his Majestys hired ship Prince of Orange & of the said Iohn Coods being fled from Justice & privately removed into this Collony these are therefore in his Majestys name to will & require you & every of you to apprehend & take into your custody the said Iohn Cood if found in any of your County & him deliver to be returned to Maryland to the said Wm Ockman or other person or persons authorised from that Province & all Magistrates & officers civil & Military & others whom it may concern are hereby required to be Aiding & assisting to you & every of you in the performance thereof as occasion, for which this shall be your & every of your sufficient warrant given undmy hand & seal this 3d day of Ianuary Ano Dni 1696 p. 119 E: Andros A warrant to all Sheriffs in Virginia for Apprehending Coll John Cood &ca E Jennings Dept Secry

His Excellency Sr Edmd Andros having received a Letter from his Excellency the Governor of Maryland with papers relating to Collo Iohn Cood & desiring an answer by you, I am directed to have the inclosed warrant delivered not knowg of Coods being in this Government am sorry I was not at home when you were here that I might assure you that I am Sir Ripon Hall Iany Your humble Servant 24th 1697/8 E Jennings Lieut Ockman
