                 The Council again set & were

                          Present

           His Excellency Fra Nicholson Esqr Capt Genl

                         Collonel Henry Jowles

                         Collonel George Robotham

                         Thomas Tench Esqr

                         Collonel John Addison

                         Thomas Brooke Esqr

                 His Excellency is pleased to deliver unto the honoble Collo

                Geo Robotham & Thomas Tench Esqrs Judges of his Majestys

                Courts of Vice Admiralty on the Eastern and Western Shores

                their Excellencys the Lords Justices Proclamation for pub

                lishing the peace between his Majesty and the French King

                & the Articles of peace for the peculiar use of the said Courts

                as likewise was pleased to Order another to be delivered to

                the Clerk of the Provincial Office there to be Lodged for the

                publick resource of all persons.

                 Several persons that were formely Concerned about Jndian

                Affairs where sent for who Came accordingly vizt Captain

                Hoskins Major Smaiwood Mr Willm Hutchinson Major Walter

                Smith Mr Wright, Mr Hall & Lieut Collo John Thompson.

                 His Excellency is pleased to them tell that he sent for them

                at this time as being formerly Concerned about the Indian

                Affairs which is one of the chief Occasions of his now Calling

                the Assembly & that he had Ordered the Clerk to have all the

                papers relating to that matter ready which were Given to

                them for their peruseall & after they had perused the same

                his Excellency was pleased to ask them whether there was

                everything that they Could Remember.

                Where they make answers there was.

              p.     And thereupon are delivered to be all ready against the

                house Sat & in the Jnterim to recollect themselves if they

                Could think of anything else

                 His Honour Colo Robotham is pleased to acquaint his

                Excellency & this Board that he was informed by some Ship

                Carpenters that there were lately two Frenchmen that were

                lately discovered in Philadelphia in Indian Apparel where

                upon it is thought necessary that the matter should be repre

                sented to the house
