Lib. H. D. Cood & him contrary to the Tenour of his Exncys Procla mation Ordered that his Majtes Lawyers prosecute the said Mason thereon, and tht a copy of the said Proclamation be delivered to them, together with the aforementioned Letter after it is Recorded. Major Walter Smith, Capt Willm Parker, Mr ffrancis Hutchins and Mr Samll Houldsworth, ffour of the Iustices of Caivert County came and humbly moved his Exncy in Coun cill, that whereas they had been lately summoned to appear before his Exncy in Councill the last ‘I'uesday of ffebry next to answer a certain contempt to an Order of Councili for dis missing Mr James Crauford Attorney at Law from pleading in any of the Courts of the Province, wch they humbly desire may be forgiven them, pleading ignorance in what they did Ordered that the said return be delivered to Major Smith, that if the said Commissioners will give anything under their hands as an acknowledgment of their Error, he will upon this news of a peace, remit their offence whereupon the paper was delivered to the said Major Smith at the Board, he giving a Receipt for the same. A Dispute arising betwixt the Honoble Edwd Randolph Esqr Surveyor Genll of his Majtes Customes on the Continent of America &ca And Peter Ienings Esqr Collectr of his Majtes Customes in Patuxent District, as to the limitts of the sd dis trict and appointing Deputies &ca It is Ordered tht the said Esqr Randolph Revoke his Com issions of Collectr granted to W Collyer & Mr Biaden for the Ports of Annapolis nnd Williamstadt, and that he give them Comissions for being Surveyrs of those places; but tht the said Mr Ienings continue his Deputies at those Ports as formerly, p. 629 and that Mr Collyer be continued Navall Officer of the Port of Wiiliamstadt aforesd, but that his former Commission, where in he is constituted Riding Surveyr be vacated as before Ordered, and that a new Commission be granted him for being Navali Officer of that Port. His EXnCY is pleased to signify that he had shew'd to Esqr Randolph all the Lists of Shipping since his being concern'd in the Government as also what he brought out of Virginia, and tht he likewise gave him the Perusal of the two Lists recd from the Rtt Honoble the Comissrs of his Majtes Customs, one of the Shipps giving Bond in England to go to Virginia & Maryland to return to England Wales or Berwick only, in the years 90: 91: 92: 93. and a list of certificates to discharge Bonds for Shipps tht gave Bond in the Plantation to come to England Wales or Berwick only. It is demanded of the Board if they knew of anything else for his Majtes service to be offered at this time; who having nothing further to offer they broke up.
