Lib. H. D. entring Ships bound in Parchment folo Tenn quire of fine paper and halfe a quire of large broad Dutch paper. One Paper of Inck powder, a Penknife, four Sticks of Sealing wax, halfe a Box of Wafers, a Custom house lack and 25 blanck Plantation Bonds for each of the three first mentioned Collect ors the 25 Plantation Bonds for the Collector of Potomock being delivered to Major Dent as appears in his Receipt aforementioned. Mr Wm Know all Men by these presents that We Willm Wyvills Riding Wyvill Edward Dorsey and Charles Carroll of the Surveyors Port of Annapolis Gentl are hereby holden and firmly bounden unto our Soveraigne Lord King
William the third &ca in the full and just sum of five hundred Pounds Steril to be paid to our said Soveraigne Lord King William &c his heirs and Successors; to true payment whereof we bind our Selves and every of uss Our heires Executors and admrs, and every of them severally and Ioyntly for the whole and in the whole firmly by these presents Sealed and dated at the Port ol Annapolis four and Twentyeth day of December 1697. The Condition of this Obligacon is such That Whereas the above bounden Willm Wyvill is by the Honoble Edward Ran dolph Esqr Surveyor Genrll of his Majtes Customs on the Con tinent of America and Islands adjacent appointed and deputed to be Rideing Surveyor not only in the Rivers of Bohemia and Sassafras but also at the heads of all the Rivers on the Eastern Shoare unto Susquehanna River. If he the said Willm Wyvill shall well and faithfully execute and discharge the said Office and pursue all such Orders and Instructions as he shall from time to time receive from the Honoble the Comissrs of his Majtes Customs at the Customhouse in London in the Kingdom of England or from the Comissrs of his Majtes Customs and from his Majtes Governr of Maryland for the time being and from the Surveyor Genrll of his Majesties Cus toms on the Continent of America and Islands adjacent and in all things relating to his said Office honestly & faithfully demeane himselfe.
