     England, New York, Pensilvania, Virginia or any other phu..c Lib. H. V.

     or places upon the Continent of America from the 19th of Iune

     1689, for & during the time & continuance of our Comission.

     And all our Officers & others concerned are hereby required

     to assist, produce and submitt to Examination all Bookes

     Accompts papers & other Vouchers which relate to or shall be

     necessary for this service. And for the better & more

     effectual executing this our Comission You are also aided

     a Comission out of his Majesties High Court of Admiralty

     for the examining upon Oath any person or persons you shall

     think fitt for the discovery of all frauds &ca as by the said

     Comission and Instructions doth more at large appear, Given

     under our hands and the Seale of our office the 11th day of

     May 1697.

     Comissrs of     We herewith send you an Act passed in England

     his Majts Entituled an Act for preventing frauds and Regu

      lating abuses in the Plantation trade, and desire that

    

             you will not only do & perform all the matters &

     things therein contained so farr as concern you and the

     persons acting under you but assist & encourage our severall

     Officers within your Government in the Execution of the said

     Act And all other the Laws for the Security of the Trade and

     Navigation and Revenue of Customs in this Kingdom. We

     are
