    fit of England & to the advanceing of the Duties of the Cus

    toms here That if his Majty shall be hereafter informed that at

    any time there shall be any failure in the due observance of p. 160

    these present Instructions by any willfull fault or neglect on

    your part his MajtY will looke upon it as a breach of the trust

    reposed in you, which his Majesty will punish wth the loss of

    your place in that Government and such further marks of his

    Royall displeasure as he shall judge reasonable to be inflicted

    on you for your Offence in a matter of this consequence that

    you are now so particularly charged with.

   Comrs of the Whereas in pursuance of his Majesties pleas-

    Admiralties

   power to his ure signified to us by the Rtt honorble Mr Secre

   Exncy for tary Trumball, we have appointed Sr Thomas

   Constituting Laurence Barronnett, to be Judge, Mr Henry Den-

    Admiralty Officers in ton Register Mr Thomas Collier Marshall and Mr

    Maryland.

             Edward Chilton advocate of the Vice Admiralty of

    the Collony of Maryland. You are therefore, hereby empow

    ered and directed to give unto them Comissions for their said

    Employments respectively; and in case of the death, or ina

    bility by sickness, or otherwise, of any of the said persons,

    you are to appoint others in their roome, and transmitt to uss

    the names of such persons as you do so appoint, Dated at

    the Admiralty Office this 29th of Aprill 1697.
