and also require you forthwith upon receipt hereof to take Lib. H. U. the sd Amos Nicholls, if he may be found in any place within this Province & him safe keep so that you have his boddy before the Honoble Iams ffrisby Esqr wth all convenient speed, there to enter into Bond wth good Sureties for his personall appearance before me and the Honoble his Majtes Privy Coun cill at their next sitting att Annapolis there, to answer to such matters as on his Majtes behalfe shall be objected against him; hereof faile not at your perill, & this shall be your sufficient warrant; Given at the Town & Port of Annapolis under the Broad Seale of the Province; the 2nd day of October in the ninth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King William the third &ca Annoq Domini 1697. ffr: Nicholson.
Came Mr John LLewellyn formerly Clerk of the Comis saries Office in the time of the late Coll Nea Blackiston Comissry Genrll decd & delivered up unto Kene!m Chiseldyn Esqr present Comissry a certain Record Book & other papers belonging to that office before his Exncy in Councill and made Oath upon the Holy Evangelist that he has formerly and now deliver'd up all Record Bookes, papers and writings, wch at any time he had in his Custody belonging to the sd Office, according to the best of his remembrance and knowledge. Ordered that Madam Elizabth Rymer Admx of Coll Nea Blakiston cause diligent search to be made among her papers to see, whether any papers belonging to the Comissaryes Office can be found among them, wch are to be delivered up uppon Oath, unto Kenlm Cheseldyn Esqr present Comissry, before Mr Richd Cloud one of his Majtes Iustices of St Maries County Court; who is hereby accordingly impower'd to Adminr such oath Vizt That those are all the papers relating to tht affair that can be found at present; and th' if any other papers of tht nature do afterwards come to hand, she will deliver the same up accordingly. Mr James Cran ford, together wth Mr Comissry & his Clerk being summoned to answer to a certain complaint of W George Linghan, in relation to his Administration upon W Abi ngton's Estate; came accordingly. The said Cranford is asked to give some reason why he has not yet deliver'd up the Bookes, papers & debts belonging to the sd Estate unto the said Linghan the present Admr who for answer says that he finds a mistake of an Article of Sixty thousand pounds of tobb° and that he endeavours to find out the mistake first. His Exncy ordrs the Comissry not to deliver up Mr Cranfords p. S86 Security; and further demands of the said Cranford, why he
