The Message by the Honble Thomas Tench Esqr and Coll:
Ion Addisson was here received and read and doe Concurr
wth yor Excy and Councill for the Lodging of the said armes
and amunition & returne yor Excy the thanks of this house for
yor Excy Care in Secureing the said seven Barrells of Powder
and for the Remaining this house Humbly Conceive that it
may be sold for ffifty five shillings p Barrell and that the
Cheife Military officers who shall have the disposall thereof to
be accountable for the Same at such Prices Except yor Excy
will be pleased to dispose thereof

Ordrd that Coll Iohn Thompson and Majr Tho: Smith
Carry the sd Message who returne and say they have Deliverd

the same.
Ordrd that Mr Samll Young and Mr lacob Loockerman goe
together wth Coll Iohn Thompson and Mr Iohn Bozman to his
Excy and Councl and see the said Thomson and Bozman
Swear to their accotts of Navall officers.
Ordrd that Mr lacob Moreland Carry the Conveyance for
the Lands at the Coole Springs to the house of Mr Iohn Dent
& Sumon two of the Nearest Iustices of St Maries to take the
acknowledgmt of the said Land from the said Iohn Dent and
his wife and that he returne wth all Expedition.
The Iurnall of the Comittee of Agreivances was read as
followes
It is offerd as an agreivance agt the Sherif of Cecill County
that the said Sheriffe made a returne in the yeare 1697 wch
was short of the List of [Taxables] given in by the Constables
List twenty three Taxables allso in the year 1698 was returned
Shorte as p the Constables List twenty Two Taxables and in
the Same year did add to the Leavey of a pound p poll

In the year 1696 was allowed 2160l of Tobacco by the pub-
lick to the County towards boat hyer for bringing the Dele-
gates of that County to the Assembly whereof there was never
any more paid that year then 720
Allsoe there was allowed to the County in the year 1697 by
