Ordrd that Mr Iames Crauford & Mr Ion Lowe acquaint his
Excy that this house have made Choice of Mr Nobbs for their
Chapline dureing this Sessions if not otherwise Commanded
by his Excy
Who returne and say that his Excy was pleased to tell them
that he sent for him on that Accot
Resolved that Daniel Cannon attend this house as Serjeant
Attendent
Resolved Capt Richd Hill Mr Symon Wilmore & Mr Richd
Tilghman be a Comittee to inspect all the Lawes of this pro-
vince & to Drawe out pticuler Lists of all Laws that are per-
petuall all the Laws tht are Temporary all the Laws that are
Repealled & all the Laws that are Expired and returne the
Same as soone as possible.
The Honble Coll Henry Jowles Thomas Tench Esqr & Coll
Iohn Courts three of his Majtyes HonbIe Covncill & Mr Wm
Bladen Clk of his Majtyes Councill Enter the house
Where the Honb: Coll: Henry Iowles informed Mr Speaker
& the house that it was his Excys Command that pursuant to
his Majtys instructions Mr Speaker and the house should Take
the Oathes appointed by Act of Parliamt instead of the Oaths
of Allegiance & Supremacey & Subscribe the Test and the
Association.
The Tennr of wch instructions was read by Mr Wm Bladen
where upon Mr Speaker desired them to withdraw that the
house might Consider thereof and wth all desired a Copy of
such his Majtys Royall instruction
The Gent: of his Majtyes Covncill wthdrew & Ordr Mr Wm
Bladen to Deliver to the House the Copy of the sd instruction
Mr Wm Bladen Enters the house & Prsents to Mr Speaker
the Copy of his Majtyes Royall instruction the Tennor whereof
followes in these words Viz
Coppy of one of his Matyes Royall instructions to his Excy
the Govr upon his Accession to this Govrmt
You shall Administer or Cause to be Administred the
Oathes appointed By Act of parliment to be taken Instead

of the Oathes of Allegiance and Supremacey as allsoe the test
unto the Members and officers of his Majtyes Said Councill
and of the Assembly and to all Iudges and Iustices and all
other prsons that hold any office or place of Trust and profitt
in the sd province wheither by vertue of any Patent vnder
the Great Seal of England or the publick Seale of Maryland
or otherwise and likewise require them to Subscribe the
aforementioned association without which you are not to
Admitt any prson what Soevr into any publick office nor
Suffer them that have been Admitted formerly to Continue
therein Vera Copia W Bladen Clk Council,
