to the Messages abl Marriages, and abt ffines to the King Vizt

The Message this day Sent by the honble Thomas Tasker
Esqr has been here received and read and as to the Bill drawn
by his Matys Attorney Genll for publication of Marriages it
was Considered by this house but in reguard that the former
Law for publication of Marriages was perpetuall and Sufficient
it was thought Convenient to Continue the Same and the new
Bill was thereupon Voted out

and Robt Smith Esqr has been read and this house humbly
prays that for what Mistakes have been made in the Applica-
tion of such fines and forfeitures as have been Applyed Other-
wise then his Matys Royall Comission and Instructions direct
that your Excellency will put a favourable Constructions upon
them for that they were Misapplyed through Misunderstand-
ing of them and not otherwise and for the future shall be
prvented and we are so farr from takeing yor Excys Admoni-
tion Amiss that we returne yor Excy our hearty thanks for the
Same
